This is an example of how the base mesh was made. I used the draw tool in Blender to make the roots. I was able to draw the roots onto the geometry and adjust them as needed.
Had a blast working on this map. There was a lot to figure out on how this level was going to happen. Once the modular roots came in, I was able to stand this level up and the rest just fell into place.
I was responsible for creating the vegetation, trees, roots, and enviroment layout as well as terrain creation.
